WS Wind Services Ltd provides service, repair and maintenance for wind turbines across the UK. Like Garrard Jones Engineering, they began purchasing our industrial wooden boxes to protect valuable components during transport and handling.
However, WS Wind Services approached us with a specific additional challenge: they required strong, man-portable blade stands for Gamesa G52 and Vestas V52 turbines. These stands would allow technicians to safely support and repair blades on the ground, rather than working at height.
We designed and manufactured custom blade support stands precisely matched to the diameter and shape of these turbine blades. Key features include:
- Perfect fit to the blade dimensions for secure and stable support
- Fixed protective cushioning to prevent surface damage to the blade
- Option to purchase additional/replaceable cushioning with any order
The stands have proven effective and practical for ground-based blade repair work.
